These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of image2kb.wiki. By visiting the site or using the target-size image compressor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Service description
Image2KB provides a browser-based utility for reducing JPG, PNG, WebP and other browser-readable image files to a selected target size in KB or MB. The page may provide target presets, output-format choices, optional maximum width, before-and-after previews, result statistics and download controls.
Features may change as the site improves. Some browsers may not decode every image type, including certain HEIC files.
2. Your files and outputs
You are responsible for the images you choose to process and for the way you use downloaded results. Make sure you have permission to modify, submit, publish or distribute each source image. Image2KB does not grant copyright, trademark, publicity or other rights in a source image.
The ordinary compression workflow is designed to run locally in your browser. You should still keep your own copies of original and output files and verify the downloaded result before relying on it for an application, website or business process.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not disrupt, attack, overload, scrape aggressively or interfere with the site or other visitors.
- Do not use the service to process or distribute unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive or abusive content.
- Do not attempt to bypass security controls, inject malicious files or misuse downloads.
- Do not misrepresent Image2KB as the owner, processor or official representative of a third-party brand.
- Follow applicable law and the rules of the destination where you submit a compressed image.
4. Quality and size limitations
Image2KB aims to keep output at or below the chosen target when the browser can satisfy the request. It does not guarantee exact byte matching, a particular visual score, lossless output, identical results across browsers or successful compression for every source image. PNG files, transparent artwork, screenshots, large photos and browser-incompatible files may need different settings.
A result that fits a file-size limit may still fail a destination's pixel dimensions, aspect ratio, format or content rules. You are responsible for checking all requirements before submission.
5. Availability and external services
The site is provided on an as-available basis. Browser APIs, canvas encoding, device memory, network conditions, hosting and third-party services can affect availability or behavior. We may add, pause, change or remove features without guaranteeing a particular release schedule.
The site may link to external documentation, privacy resources or other services. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security or policies.
6. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Image2KB and its operators provide the service without warranties of any kind and are not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive losses arising from use of the site, inability to use it, downloaded files, submission decisions or external services.
You remain responsible for backups, legal review, source-image rights, destination requirements, accessibility, security and production testing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by changing the effective date and content on this page. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply to future use. Questions can be sent to support@image2kb.wiki.
